Sydney
District 4x4 Club Inc enjoys a wide
range of 4wd and outdoor activities.
While many of our trips require a 4wd with low range quite a number of trips
are available for those with what are termed “softroaders”-
4wds with out low range. Have a look through tour website and the trip reports
to get a feel for what we do – long distance touring across deserts,
tough tracks in the Blue Mountains, tourist destinations for bushwalking,
social camping gatherings, etc.

The Sydney District 4x4 Club adheres to the following code of ethics:
- Keep to the Laws and Regulations for 4WD vehicles. (They may change state to state)
- Keep to constructed vehicle tracks. Do not drive 'Off Road'.
- Keep the environment clean. Carry your own, and maybe other peoples rubbish home.
- Obey restrictions on use of public lands. Respect National Parks and other conservation areas.
- Obtain permission before driving on private land. Leave livestock alone & gates as found.
- Keep your vehicle mechanically sound.
- Take adequate water, food, fuel & spares on trips. In remote areas, travel with another vehicle.
- Respect our wildlife. Stop & look, never disturb or chase animals.
- Respect other recreationalists rights to peace & solitude in the bush.
- Help in Bushfires, emergencies and search & rescue, if you are properly equipped to do so.
- Join a 4WD club and support 4WD touring as a responsible and legitimate recreational activity.
