If you have been charged with writing the trip report remember they are due 72 hours from the time the trip returns. This ensures our clubs compliance with our insurers policies.
track grading
Grade 1 : Description
- Suitable for 2WD or 4WD vehicles.
- Possible bulldust or rough sections.
- No steep climbs or water crossings.
Grade 2 : Description
- Possible rough sections.
- Possible shallow water crossings.
- Possible beach/sand driving.
Grade 3 : Description
- Rough Surface.
- High ground clearance required.
- Steep grades.
- Possible ruts & corrugations.
- Possible water crossings.
Grade 4 : Description
- Suitable high ground clearance vehicles only.
- Steep grades.
- Large wheel ruts and rock steps.
- Possible deep water crossings.
Grade 5 : Description
- Very high ground clearance required.
- Vehicles will require traction Aids such as diff locks.
- Winching and snatching recoveries are required.
- Vehicles may suffer some body damage.
- Special note: Driver must be confident and capable of driving these tracks unassisted at some times.

All drivers are responsible for their vehicles, their occupants and actions. The trip leader will accept drivers/vehicles at his/her discretion. All trip grades may change or vary due to weather conditions, or other outside influences, even whist on the trip. Trips with grade 3 and above require driver training to be completed prior to joining the trip.
